Mama Clown  MAMA CLOWN
A native of Colombia, South America, Marcella Murad has lived the life of her alter-ego "Mama Clown" since 1978. It has been the most fun and fulfilling job she could ever have hoped for.

A Master Clown, Author, Speaker and Instructor, she is recognized as one of the premier face painters in the country and has been influential in revolutionizing this art form. Twice elected "Clown of the Year" by the South East Clown Association, Mama Clown was honored with a cover story in the October 1996 issue of Calliope, the official magazine for Clowns of America International. She was also feature in the nationally syndicated "Cristina Show"and has won numerous awards for her contributions to the art of clowning. She is a writer for the Laughmakers magazine.
 



 


Through Mama Clown and Friends, she books quality entertainment in the South Florida Area. Silly Farm Products manufactures Mama's own line of magic and props, and distributes clown supplies to the trade.  Her book, "Put On A Happy Face,  The Complete Book of Face Painting", has become the bible of professional face painters.

A well traveled entertainer and educator, Mama Clown has been all over the United States, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, performing and lecturing on the art of clowning. She has been called a "Home-Town Hero" by the Miami Herald for her work with the Cuban refugee children, and an "Angel of Cheer" by the Associated Press for giving so much of her time to comfort those affected by Hurricane Andrew.

Mama Clown holds a strong belief that clowning must come from the heart, and she attributes her success from loving children and her profession with all her heart.
