In 1977, Janet was
doing marionette shows with her husband, Larry, when she took a clown class
to add to her skills in children's entertainment....and Jelly
Bean
was born.
Since that time, Janet "Jelly Bean" Tucker has been developing as a clown and entertainer. She has been President and Clown Ministry Director of the World Clown Association, has taught clown arts at Clown camp at the University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse, for 14 years, as well as teaching and performing for numerous conferences for Clowns of America International, World Clown Association, and the Fellowship of Christian Magicians.
Jelly
Bean
was a delegate to the International Clown
Summit in Dalkeith, Scotland, in 1989 and she is currently on the Board
of Directors of the International
Clown Hall of Fame in Milwaukee,
Wisconsin.
Jelly Bean has written several books on clown mimistry including "Creating Clown Stuff for Ministry" and "Basic Gospel Messages With Balloons", co-authors the Impact Newsletter, and with her partner and daughter, Evelyn "Pixie" Tucker, performs over 300 shows a year for parties, picnics, corporate events, schools, festivals and clown minstry programs. Jelly Bean also gives programs in humor and stress relief for educational and corporate seminars.
