Center for the Humanities
At the Center for the Humanities, we interrogate the relationship between humanistic study and artistic, ethical, and political issues in the contemporary world. Located on the first floor of the Center for Liberal Arts, the 蘑菇视频 Center for the Humanities is a site for interdisciplinary collaboration that includes project-based work spaces, rotating student exhibitions, a lending library, and an event space for receptions, performances, reading groups, and film screenings.
We hope that this center will become a model for liberal learning on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan and beyond.

The humanities is at the heart of a liberal arts education, helping you to explore language, literature, and philosophy.
The humanities disciplines prepare students for professional success, civic engagement, global awareness, and habits of lifelong learning.
We offer students opportunities to develop their oral and written communication skills, their critical thinking and analytical reasoning skills, the ability to solve complex problems, and the ability to connect their choices to ethical decisions鈥攁ll qualities that the vast majority of employers are looking for in the twenty-first century.
